Adding a dimension to your marketing effort

Sceptic’s and reactionaires may frown upon it, but new statistics clearly confirm that the media community is moving into cyber space.
By the year 2010, 413 million households worldwide will have a broadband connection. That means that the market for online entertainment and information, so called content services, will be offered to over 130 million people. By 2005, that figure had already past 13 million. Right now 12.8 percent of all households already watch online content. Video-on-demand, Youtube, and Myspace. Things are happening out there.

web-tv_1.jpgInternet is fast becoming the biggest player in the media industry. That is why at Mediaplanet we are putting a large effort on showing our advertisers that we can use the Internet as efficiently as our print operation.
The beauty of Mediaplanet’s business is that the concept can so easily be transferred online. This is primarily because the Internet is a medium whereby targeted advertising is almost the reason for its success as an effective marketing environment. Here too, the impulse to buy is enhanced by the fact that the user is a relevant target as the environment he is navigating through is directly related to the products or service being advertised.
As the headline suggests, it will all be about Web-TV. Web-TV content adds another dimension to our communication services. Not only is it possible to create strong content through quality journalism and productions, relevant to any supporting product placement or advertising, the medium itself will be more engaging and interactive.
The idea would run parallel to our print reports. A focused production aimed at informing the user of a specific event, a niche topic or a topical issue, distributed through high-traffic sites with a relevant demographic audience and pre and post roll advertising opportunities as well as product placement. Except this will be a fully interactive experience.
True to our spirit we only use the best journalists and experts for each production. Anything less wouldn’t work if one is serious about competing for the praise of the Internet users. Do you need more convincing or is it already interesting? It’s time to act. Call us!
