Each year it arrives and each year it seems to get bigger and bigger. The largest content marketing event in the world has come and gone and we’d like to give you the inside scoop on how it went from our perspective. Spoiler alert: it was great!
There’s no surprise that Content Marketing World has become one of the most anticipated marketing events of the year. Content marketing is taking center stage, and having the opportunity to receive training on how to excel at it while discovering new tools to seamlessly carry it out is at the top of every CMO’s to do list. With close to 4,000 attendees from 60 countries, 225 speakers including directors and other marketing leaders and 123+ hours of keynotes, strategy sessions and industry specific track sessions - it is the largest content focused event of its kind on the planet.
We here at Mediaplanet have a special place in our hearts for Content Marketing World as we are publishers who know a thing or two about creating quality content that will resonate with readers, but we’re also content marketers who know a thing or two about pairing the right type of content with the right type of brand. Since the conference is so focused on content and how to use it effectively for marketing, we’re able to come to the table with our expertise in both strategies!
This year we attended Content Marketing World as exhibitors. We really wanted to have the opportunity for one-on-one time with our content marketing peers and the outcome did not disappoint!
It was extremely exciting for us to meet many of our previous and wonderful partners as well as mingle with a ton of new faces who are looking for some guidance on carrying out their own content marketing initiatives.
We were able to walk our new friends through what we do as publishers and as content marketers. Visitors were able touch and feel a few of our print campaigns that have been distributed within USA Today, Washington Post, LA Times and more, right when they walked up to our booth.
Because it was the first time we came to the conference as exhibitors we were showcasing in the area called the Product Expo Launch – which is an area usually reserved for newbees at the event.
The sessions that were taking place included high level discussions and specific strategies for conference attendees to take with them and implement immediately within their own campaigns.
With the goal of keeping our new friends’ bellies full and sweet cravings satisfied, we gave out delicious cupcakes…you know you want one!
Oh! And as if meeting our new BFFs wasn't enough, we won an award for being the coolest exhibitor in the product expo launch area! An award chosen by and voted by the conference attendees! ;)
We had a ton of fun, met wonderful new friends and can’t wait to attend again next year!
