Mediaplanet USA came away from the 21st Annual Communicator Awards with three awards in two categories, marking a continued, team-wide commitment to delivering high-quality content marketing campaigns.

Founded two decades ago, The Communicator Awards continue to bear the torch as the leading international awards scheme recognizing creative excellence in advertising, corporate communications, public relations and identity work for print, video, interactive and audio. Just this year, the Communicator Awards received over 6,000 entries, placing it among the largest awards schemes in the world as well.

Each year, the awards are judged by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA), an invitation-only body comprised of top-tier media, advertising and marketing professionals.

Two campaigns from the New York office were amongst the winners announced on April 26th.

The first, Women in Business, garnered the 2015 Gold Award for Excellence for Best Magazine/Newspaper Article in the Content Marketing category, the criteria for which is defined as: attracting and retaining business through the use of relevant content.”

The second campaign, "Climate Change," earned the 2015 Gold Award of Excellence for Social Responsibility, as well as the 2015 Silver Award of Distinction for Green/Eco-Friendly in the Integrated Campaign category. Communicator distinguishes these campaigns for using more than one form of media created to promote social issues and environmentally friendly goods or companies.

The Communicators were initially designed to celebrate progress and embrace the evolving nature of traditional and interactive media. Linda Day, Executive Director of AIVA, summed this year’s event as a prime example of that original vsision.

“The work entered in the 21st Annual Communicator Awards serves as a true testament to the innovative ideas and capabilities of communications and marketing professionals around the world,” she stated. “On behalf of the entire Academy, we congratulate this year’s Communicator Awards entrants and winners for their passion and dedication. We are humbled to be given the opportunity to recognize such amazing work.”
